Two Arrested in Adel, GA for Major Drug Trafficking Operation

ADEL, Ga. – Two men have been arrested after an investigation by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) and South Georgia law enforcement into drug trafficking.

On Friday, June 28, Shyiem Banks, 28, and Roderick Collins, 36, were arrested in Adel for drug trafficking charges.

The GBI reported that a search warrant led to the discovery of:

– 210 grams of suspected methamphetamine
– 3.2 pounds of suspected marijuana
– 13 grams of suspected alpha-PVP (Flakka/bath salts)
– Over 90 suspected oxycodone tablets
– 2 firearms

Banks is facing charges of:

– Three counts of trafficking methamphetamine
– Possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute
– Possession of a Schedule II controlled substance
– Possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony

Collins is facing charges of:

– Two counts of conspiracy to traffic methamphetamine
– Trafficking methamphetamine
– Possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute
– Possession of a Schedule II controlled substance
– Possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony

Both men are currently in the Cook County Jail.
